Community Alarm Service

The Community Alarm Service is available to all residents of Elmbridge. It is especially designed for disabled, older or vulnerable people enabling them to retain their independence.

Community Alarms also stops you becoming a victim of crime such as distraction burglary also |bogus callers who come to your door. The operator can even talk to the person, advise you what to do and call the police should there be any concern.

At the touch of a button you can receive assistance in an emergency 24 hours a day.

How it Works

By pressing the pendant, the alarm is activated and a call is automatically made to a care centre, this is staffed 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Without having to get to the phone, the caller can then speak to a specially trained operator, who will respond to their needs and organise appropriate assistance.

The Cost

The current fee for the service is £3.80 per week or £49.40 quarterly.

VAT will be payable unless an exemption declaration can be signed. Payment is collected by either a Direct Debit or payment of an invoice quarterly.

You Could be Entitled to a Free Alarm

New customers can receive a Community Alarm free of charge for the first 12 weeks after being discharged from hospital under the |CATS Hospital Discharge Scheme.

Telecare

The Community Alarm Service can also help with falls prevention by providing falls sensors and with home safety through smoke and flood alarms linked to the main community alarm system.
