More card business discounts - terms and conditions
Elmbridge Borough Council ("the Council") reserves the right to accept or decline potential participants and offers (offer to include promotions, discounts and services offered by the participating organisation) at its sole discretion.
Businesses joining the scheme should be located in the borough of Elmbridge.
When signing up to this scheme a joining form must be completed in full and submitted with a business card, letter of authority or other suitable identification.
Subsequent amendments to offers can be made online or by telephone.
Offers can only be made/withdrawn/amended by a duly authorised representative of the participating organisation.
The offer must include any conditions and/or exclusions that will apply and must be accurate at all times.
Participating organisations will display promotional material including more card stickers/logos at their place of business.
Participating organisations must also provide relevant details to enable links to be created from the Council's more card webpages to their websites (where applicable). However, the Council reserves the right to remove hyperlinks at its discretion.
The Council reserves the right to refuse/withdraw any offer that contradicts any Council policies.
The Council reserves the right to withdraw/alter the scheme at any time without notice.
More cardholder data is held by the Council. This data will not be shared with participating organisations unless cardholder consent is obtained. Further, any information provided is confidential and is only for the use of the participating organisation for the agreed purpose. The Council will from time to time send out promotion emails to cardholders detailing current offers.
All information and material produced by the Council for this scheme and in its capacity as a local authority cannot be used without its consent and cannot be shared with third parties.
Participating organisations are required to handle any complaints or comments about their service promptly and in a professional manner and shall in any event use best endeavours to respond to any such complaints and comments.
Participating organisations must provide feedback (when requested to do so) to the Council on the value of participation in the scheme including recording the numbers of more cardholders who take up their offers.
The Council reserves the right to conduct mystery shopping exercises with participating organisations to ensure that more cardholders can obtain the offer(s) with the correct information and benefit being provided. All information will be fed back in confidence (where necessary) to the participating organisation concerned.
The Council will not be responsible in any way for the contents, accuracy or validity of the information provided by the participating organisations.
The participating organisation is not permitted to hold itself out as agent, representative or acting in partnership with the Council in any way. For the avoidance of doubt, the Council is acting as an enabler for both cardholders and participating organisations.
Participating organisations must comply with the Distance Regulations Act 2000 as amended from time to time.
Unless otherwise specified the offer will be listed on the Council's website for 12 months.
The participating organisation may terminate their participation in the scheme by giving 4 weeks' notice to the Council provided all pre-existing offers with more cardholders are honoured. Further, both parties have the right to terminate their relationship in the event of infringement of its intellectual property rights by the other.
If the offer is no longer valid for any reason then the participating organisation must advise any customers accordingly.
