Elmbridge Community Safety Partnership

Tackling the Borough's crime and disorder problems is a shared job for everyone, not just the police.

This shared responsibility was set out in the |Crime & Disorder Act 1998, which placed a joint statutory duty on the police, Borough Council and County Council to tackle community safety issues. They were joined by the two Primary Care Trusts, Elmbridge Housing Trust, Fire Service and Police Authority in the |Police Reform Act 2002. This partnership is referred to as the Elmbridge Community Safety Partnership.

The Partnership works with other organisations from the public, private and voluntary sector, along with members of the community, to tackle crime and community safety.
