Walton Street Angels
Do you have what it takes to be a Street Angel?
The Walton Street Angels team are searching for caring, non-judgemental adult volunteers who are happy to work in a team and can spare some time on Friday nights to offer practical help and support to keep people safe in Walton-on-Thames Town Centre until after last orders.
Run by Churches in Walton, with support from the Elmbridge Community Safety Partnership, Surrey Police and the Elmbridge Multi-Faith Forum, the Street Angels provide a high visibility presence on the streets and aim to keep the peace in the town centre, pacifying drunks and any potential trouble makers, as well as providing reassurance to the less rowdy members of the public.
Angels will receive full training and uniform (unfortunately real wings are not included).
No previous experience required!
