Performance Indicators
Performance Indicators are a method Elmbridge and many other public bodies use to measure performance. They are targets that are set for our performance. We regularly monitor our performance against these indicators to see whether or not we are achieving our targets.
Performance for 2010- 2011
|Performance Indicators 2010-11 - This report sets out the Council's performance against its indicators for 2010-11.
Other information about the area.
Everything the Council does is ultimately aimed at improving the area, and so we take into account outcomes like health, wellbeing and crime levels. One useful source of this statistical information is on the |surrey-i website.
Basket of Performance Indicators
In order to deliver the very best services, it is essential for us to monitor performance more closely than just at the end of each year. In order to do this, we set and monitor a key selection of performance indicators each quarter. This selection is known as the "Corporate Basket" and is scrutinised by our corporate management board.
Your elected representatives (Councillors) also receive quarterly updates on Council performance against the Corporate Plan. You can view these reports by looking at our |Cabinet agendas. The performance reports are usually submitted to the meetings in March, June, September and November.

How does Elmbridge use Performance Indicators?
The Council can use the published indicators to learn from those organisations that have better results, measuring the Council's performance against theirs and using their insights to improve Council services in Elmbridge. We can also identify our strengths and weaknesses, so that we know where to focus our activities and make improvements.
