The Committee can review and scrutinise policy and decisions within the remit of the Housing, Social Affairs and Leisure and Culture cabinet portfolios, including:
The Committee also takes an active interest in relevant issues beyond the direct remit of the Council, in particular health-related matters and the performance of the Surrey Primary Care Trust. Councillor Ruth Lyon represents the Council on the Surrey County Council Health Scrutiny Committee.
Committee Work Programme
At the first meeting of the year, the Committee agreed its intended |work programme for 2008/09. This work programme is subject to amendment during the year, as relevant issues arise. You can make a suggestion for an item to be included in the work programme via our |online suggestions form.
