All employees up to 75 years of age are entitled to join the Local Government Pension Scheme. Surrey County Council administers this on behalf of Elmbridge Borough Council.

The benefits include a lump sum payment on retirement plus a monthly pension. These are based on your final salary and your length of continuous local government service.
The scheme is contributory at 6% of your salary, the employer, Elmbridge Borough Council, also contributes to your pension.
