Council Charities
Elmbridge Borough Council is responsible for administrating the Charities listed below:
- |Charity of Miss W M E Harrison
(A) Charity for elderly persons who are in conditions of need in such ways as the Trustees think fit; and (B) Charity to promote the education of persons under the age of 25 years who are in need of financial assistance by the provision of grants to meet fees or maintenance costs while such persons are undergoing a course of instruction. - |Charity of Robert Phillips
Charity for the promotion of education in music, drama and the fine arts, for residents within the Ancient Parish of Walton-on-Thames (Walton, Hersham and part of Oatlands). - |Mayor Trust Fund
Charity to assist residents, especially young people, who are in need and to provide for the victims of natural or man made disasters, for the residents of the Borough of Elmbridge. - |Weybridge Land Charity
Charity for residents in the Wards of Weybridge North and South, Oatlands Park and St Georges Hill who are in need, hardship or distress. - |Elmbridge Sports Council
The Elmbridge Sports Council (ESC) aims to promote sport throughout the Borough of Elmbridge, encourage youth participation in sport and assist as much as possible all clubs, societies, schools, colleges and sporting individuals in their quest for sporting success and participation. It is an independent body, administered by Elmbridge Borough Council.
Grant Aid is available once a year for sports clubs and individuals in Elmbridge to assist with their various sporting pursuits and the sum of £10,000 is generously provided by Elmbridge Borough Council. Applications for grant aid are invited between February and April each year. - |Charities of Henry Smith and Others
Charity for the residents of the Ancient Parish of Weybridge, to provide gifts of clothing or blankets, recipients may receive food in lieu of clothing. Please Note: Elmbridge Borough Council is no longer responsible for administering this Charity and is unable to accept applications.
