Performance Indicators
Performance Indicators
To monitor performance across all local authorities, the Government has produced a set of measures called National Indicators that every authority has an obligation to collect at the end of each financial year. Elmbridge uses both Government defined indicators as well as local performance indicators. Performance Indicators form an important part of our effective performance management system.
Performance for 2008 - 2009
|Performance Indicators 2008-09 (National) - This report sets out the Council's performance against the statutory National Indicators set by the government for 2008/09.
|Performance Indicators 2008-09 (Local) - This report sets out the Council's performance against its local performance indicators 2008/09.
Basket of Performance Indicators
In order to deliver the very best services, it is essential for us to monitor performance more closely than just at the end of each year. In order to do this, we monitor a key selection of performance indicators each quarter. This selection is known as the "Corporate Basket" and is scrutinised by our corporate management board.
How does Elmbridge use Performance Indicators?
The Council can use the published indicators to learn from those organisations that have better results, measuring the Council's performance against theirs and using their insights to improve Council services in Elmbridge.
